Title: Capture the Corner

Description:

The object of the game is for offensive teams to “capture” the corners by throwing their foam balls and knocking a playground ball off of a cone. Defensive teams are assigned to a cone and will work to knock offensive shots away. Students are working to create open space by staying spread on offense, cutting and passing quickly, and using off-the-ball fakes.

33 Zone Frisbee is a form of Ultimate Frisbee played with 3 zones with 3 Frisbees. Students should have previously practiced throwing and catching a Frisbee and have played Ultimate Frisbee.

This resource is a lesson plan that teaches students to observe body movements in different activities and determine what body systems are being used. Students are introduced to correct terminology of body movements. This lesson plan incorporates STEM concepts while teaching about physical movement.
