Elementary Novice Low - Novice Mid: Ask students to separate vocabulary words into the food group categories. They should write each vocab word in the correct location on the plate and condiments or sweets should be written outside the plate.
Middle School Novice Low - Novice Mid: Ask students to create their ideal meal. Students to draw each food item and label it in Spanish, making sure to adhere to USDA guidelines. Each student should then share their plate with a friend or group.
High School Novice Low-Novice Mid: Students should create their ideal meal by writing appropriate vocab words in each section of the plate, they should choose their favorite foods while making sure to adhere to USDA guidelines. Students should then work in pairs to discuss their food choices. In the target language, they can ask about likes, dislikes, favorites, and least favorites. |
