Students will explore and compose various rhythm patterns using playdough. They will shape the playdough into music notes and arrange them into four-beat patterns.  Students will read their favorite pattern to the class.

6) Convey expressive intent for a specific purpose by presenting a final version of personal musical ideas to peers or informal audience.

Students will watch a short clip about Rondo Form. Working in groups of three, students will compose rhythm patterns and arrange them in Rondo Form. Each group will perform their piece for the class.

Students will use Google Chrome Music Lab - Song Maker to create a Rondo Form piece.  The students may explore different sounds and patterns to create their favorite Rondo Form. When they are satisfied with their piece, they will email the link to the teacher or post in Google Classroom.

Students will identify words that use one sound/syllable and two sounds/syllables.  Students will compose 8 beat rhythm patterns using random items from a box.  The students will have a fun time making silly rhythm patterns with their random items.
