  Strategies, Preparations and Variations
Phase:
After/Explain/Elaborate
Activity:

This learning activity should be used after students have been introduced to chatbots and how they are used in automation in the business world.

The teacher may wish to show the video: Chatbots - A Simple Overview and have students review Robotic Process Automation prior to the activity.

  1. Pass out the Chatbots One-Pager Checklist/Directions (one for each student).
  2. The teacher will explain that today the students will show what they know about chatbots and how they can be used to increase efficiency by creating a one-pager.
  3. Pass out the One-Pager Rubric (one for each student). The teacher will explain that a one-pager is a creative response to your learning experience. It allows you to respond imaginatively while being brief and concise in making connections between words and images. We think about what we see and read differently when we are asked to do something with what we have seen or read. We learn best when we create our own ideas. Your personal thinking about what you have experienced should be understood by the audience that views the One-Pager. Today you will create a one-pager on what you have learned about chatbots and how they are able to increase efficiency.
  4. Completed one-pagers can be hung around the room to be shared with the class.
Assessment Strategies:

Students will be assessed using the One-Pager Rubric.

Advanced Preparation:

  • The teacher will need to watch the videos prior to showing them in the classroom to make sure they will not be blocked by school security.
