Students will brainstorm songs learned from a friend, family, or classmate.  They will discuss how music can be used for celebrations. Students will research a traditional song from a different country.

Title: Discovering the East of China: Chinese Music in Elementary School

Students will identify Chinese instruments and perform a lullaby.  They will learn about Chinese musical elements, such as programmatic music and pentatonic scale.  The lesson includes four sections.
